The Hidden Lane Gallery opened on Argyle Street in November 2009 and has put on exhibitions by local artists such as Alasdair Gray, Hilda Goldwag, Claire Mulholland and Lorcan Vallely, plus African art and artefacts and the work of Haitian artist Franketienne. The Gallery has now moved location into the Hidden Lane and from 2022 was the home of the beautiful photographic work from the 1920s and 1930s by Margaret Watkins .
UPDATE – July 2025 – The Gallery has closed for now and is now only the office for the Hidden Lane and the Hive and open 1100 – 1700 Tuesday to Friday.
